C.D. Hodges

C.D. was born April 6, 1924 in De Leon, Texas to Vernor and Irene Hodges. He honorably served his country in World War II as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a graduate of the University of North Texas and a proud retiree of Shell Oil Company. His 40 year career with Shell relocated him to Midland, Denver, New Orleans, Tulsa, New York and Houston.

C.D. is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Minnie Wilson Hodges, daughter Melissa Hodges Vogeley and husband Kirk of Houston, son Keith Hodges and wife Michelle of Katy, grandsons Andrew Vogeley, Nicholas Vogeley and Daniel Hodges, brother, Les Hodges of Houston, sister Peggy Howell of Tyler, and other cherished family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday, January 14, 2013, at 3:00 p.m., at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079.
