CHARLENE POLK KINSEY was born March 2, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York and passed away on May 23, 2013 in Houston, Texas at the age of 66. She earned a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Houston. She was a Professor of Economics at Houston Community College. Charlene was a member of St. Joseph Orthodox Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Emma Polk; sister, Janice Vasquez. She is survived by her loving husband, Bob Kinsey; daughter, Alison Kinsey Cary; son, John Kinsey; four grandchildren, Aiden, Gabe, Grant, and Reece; sister, Lorraine Delaney along with other relatives and friends. She made the world a better place.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, May 27 at St. Joseph Orthodox Church, 10644 Hammerly Blvd., Houston, Texas 77043. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 28 at St. Joseph Orthodox Church. Interment to follow in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
