Charles Michael "Mike" Rush

Mike was born in Sherman, TX on March 30, 1949 to Nettie Scott and Charles Wesley Rush. He graduated from Spring Woods High School-Class of 1967. He continued on with a football scholarship to the University of Oklahoma and then completed his Business Administration Degree at the University of Houston. Mike retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 40 years of service.

He enjoyed playing Friday rounds of golf with his closest lifelong friends. He once shot a “hole in one,” an accomplishment that few can tout. He was an active member of Woodland Lodge #1157 AF&AM in Houston, TX, a member of the Arabian Shrine in Houston, TX and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite mason. Mike loved spending quality time at home, and he valued his time with his friends, family and his dogs.

Mike is survived by his wife Pam Bowers Rush, his daughter and son-in-law Michelle & Tim Watkins, his son and daughter-in-law Grant & Kenzie Rush, stepson Shane and wife Misty Davis of Pueblo, CO, grandsons Jordan, Brady and Tanner Watkins of Houston and Hagen Davis of Pueblo, CO, his sister Neva Roark of Ennis,TX, nephew Dennis Dlabaj and his family in Allen, TX and nephew Jeffrey Dlabaj and his family in Ennis, TX.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7 at 10AM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001Katy Freeway. Visitation will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home on Sunday, July 6 from 3-5PM. A private interment will follow at a later date in Alto, TX.
