Charlie Burckle

Charlie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gerry; son and daughter-in-law Lee Burckle and Sandy Burckle; granddaughter Lauren Burckle, grandson Chris Burckle; daughter and son-in-law Jill Cude and Ron Cude all of Houston, Texas.

Charlie was in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After his honorable discharge from the service, Charlie graduated from Kansas University with a degree in electrical engineering. He originally worked for Westhinghouse in Kansas City, Kansas. The family moved to Coffeyville, Kansas where Charlie was manager of municipal utilities. Later the family moved to Houston, Texas where he worked for Big Three Industries /Air Liquide. After retirement, Charlie consulted with Air Liquide. In his retirement years, he volunteered as a tutor at Spring Forest Middle School and was also an active member of his Homeowners Association.

He was a long standing member of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Memorial Drive United Methodist Church.
