Charlotte R. Wright

Charlotte Roesler Wright, 87 years old, of New Caney, Texas, passed away June 19, 2020. She was born in Houston, Texas on August 8, 1932. Charlotte graduated from Aldine High School. She was married to the late Howell E. Wright Sr. on May 21, 1955.

Charlotte had a career in banking for Community Bank of New Caney, Texas. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church where she was happy to serve in Christian Education and several committees over the years. She also served as a board member of the East Montgomery County Child Protective Services, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Houston-Ransford Chapter #135, and as a member of the Woodbranch Garden Club.

Her hobbies included camping with her family and collecting stuffed bears. Charlotte loved including her grandchildren in all the camping adventures shared through the years with her husband, Howell Wright, Sr. Charlotte loved collecting stuffed bears and had a “bear room” specially designated to house them all.

She is survived by her son, Howell Wright Jr. and wife Dorothy, son Joseph Wright and his wife Mary, grandchildren: Colleen Wright, Timothy Wright, Haley Wright, Jennifer Wright, Emily Wright, Joseph Wright Jr., Amy Callahan, Cassi LaRoux, and Holly Brewster, great-grandchildren: Jaxon Wright, Avery Hoskins, Lia Wright, Kyler Hall, Grace Callahan, Darby Callahan, Darcy Callahan, Jack Friess, Gus LaRoux, and Bo Brewster.

Visitation is Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Brookside Funeral Home,13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas, beginning at 5:00 p.m. and ending at 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Friendship United Methodist Church, 22388 Ford Rd, Porter, Texas with a graveside service following at Brookside Memorial Park.
