2nd Tim 4:6-8
Chavis Jermaine Penson graced the world with his presence on January 24, 1977, in Houston, Texas. He was a beautiful bundle of joy born to the proud and loving parents Claressia Penson and Raymond Harvey, whom loved him dearly.
As a young boy, Chavis Penson grew up between Acres Homes and Sunnyside, TX with his parents, grandmother, uncles, aunt, and cousins. Although Chavis was an only child, he grew up with a host of cousins that were more like sisters and brothers. He was a member of Mount Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. He attended and graduated from Aldine High School, then obtained his Barber license from Texas Barber College. He worked at several different companies but was best known for his “One Stop Shop” entrepreneurship. Chavis was very creative; he owned and managed “C3” Chap’s Custom Creations T-shirts & more company and worked for Family Dollar.
He loved being a father and grandfather to his five children and two grandchildren. Chavis loved greeting everyone with a smile; he left a mark on everyone’s heart he met. Everyone knew him as ‘Chap’. The things that brought joy to his heart were music, traveling and family. He loved a good challenge in spaded, dominos and chess. And he loved spending time with his family and loved ones and a good Bar-b-que. Oh lord, and he loved his swag with a nice t-shirt and a clean pair of J’s along with his jewelry. He lived his life to the fullest until April 16, 2026, when he received his final call that God needed him home.
