JANUARY 10, 1990 – AUGUST 18, 2025
Chelsea Lynette Duff was born in San Antonio, Texas, on January 10, 1990, to two very loving parents. She grew up living in Floresville, Texas, in a home her parents built. From the age of 10 throughout her high school years, she was a swimmer on the Alamo Area Aquatics team. She achieved second place in the 500 yard free style at the State Championships.
Upon graduation from high school, she attended Houston Baptist University. In December 2011, Chelsea graduated with a double major in Political Science and History, and we celebrated for a week in Jamaica. However, her love of cooking led her into the restaurant business. She grew rapidly and became a manager of several places and eventually achieving her Sommelier accreditation. She loved cooking so much that she would create and make all of Zachary’s baby food. She also was very creative when it came to preparing the holiday festive meals.
Chelsea is survived by her son, Zachary Aiden Martin; her mother, Victoria Duff; her cousin, wife and child, Rusty, Monica, and Artemis Hiestand; and her cousin Joshua Hiestand. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters and their families, Richard Queer, Terry Duff, Mark Duff, Stacy Duff, and Chris Duff.
Chelsea is preceded in death by her father, Donald Duff; her grandparents, William and Mary Hiestand; her uncle, Randy Hiestand; and her aunt, Susan Hiestand. She loved them all very deeply.
Chelsea loved reading, exploring new places, and especially helping others by giving of her talents and herself. She also loved traveling, including taking several cruises, educating herself in Italy for a month, and another time she explored Iceland. She also was well traveled within the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Chelsea’s life ended too soon. We will miss her dearly. We all love her to infinity and beyond, always and forever – which was her saying to Zachary every day.
