Chin Ching Yu

Chinching was born on January 9, 1924 to his joyous parents Le Ying Yu and En Sheng Dang-Yu in Wei-Xian, Shan-Dong Province and died on Thursday April 3, 2014 at Memorial Herman Southwest Hospital in Houston, Texas. He went to the Lord peacefully with his be loved wife, Chingyun Yu, daughter, Jennifer Reynolds, Son, Benjamin Yu, and Daughter-in-Law, I-Hui Chang-Yu, around him.

Chinching graduated from National Chung-Hsing University in Taiwan. Before he went to Taiwan, he studies at Shen-Dong University. He went to Taiwan while the communist party took over China in 1945 and completed his education in Taiwan. Chinching finished his degree in Agriculture. He worked for Land Bank of Taiwan until his retirement as a vice president. After Chiching’s retirement, he immigrated to the United States in 1992 to be with his be loved family.

Chinching met his devoted, loving wife, , Chingyun Yu, of nearly 55 years, in Taiwan and was married in 1959.

From a very early age, Chinching was involved with all sports such as soccer and basketball, and was a team member of Shen-Dong Province Soccer team. He represented the team for national competitions in different times while he was in China. Through his life, he loved of sports, such as basketball and soccer games.

Most importantly, he was devoted to his family by whom he is deeply missed. In addition to his wife, Chingyun, Chingching is survived by his wife, Chingyun Yu, daughter, Jennifer Reynolds, his son, Benjamin Yu and daughter-in-law, I-Hui Chang-Yu, and his elder brother, Freeman Yu, younger brother, Andrew Yu, and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Le Ying Yu and En Sheng Dang-Yu, his younger brother, Kun-Ching Yu, his two sister-in-laws, and his son-in-law, David Townsend Reynolds.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday April 12, 2014 in Houston, Texas at 10:00 a.m. and Burial Service will be held on Saturday April 12, 2014 in Houston, Texas at 11:00 a.m. All services will be held at Forest Park Funeral Home and Cemetery at 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, Texas 77077. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family of Chinching Yu.
