

Christian Matthew Ligons entered this life after a very difficult birth on April 15,1991 at St Joseph’s Hospital. It was nearly 3 months later that he was released from Texas Children’s Hospital to his parents to go home.
While for family and friends Christian was far too short, he lived a very full life and touched many with his gentle spirit.
Christian met the love of his life, Keydra Jones, his fiancé who just graduated from Thurgood Marshall School of Law and took her Bar Exam less than two months ago. They were planning to get married in the very near future.
Growing up Christian, as an only child, created his own family of lifelong “siblings” which includes God Brothers and Sisters Amber, Caprice, William, and Rickey Carter, just to name a few.
His first encounter with an organized learning environment was at P@M Daycare Center owned and operated by his grandmother, Mrs. Orean Pruitt. Christian graduated from John F. Kennedy Elementary School and Pershing Middle School. While at Pershing he was a member of the Choir and the Drama Club. He attended Stafford High School, was on the football team and graduated from the Leader’s Academy.
At the age of 16, Christian was an Ambassador of People to People, an international travel organization, created by President Theodore Roosevelt to promote goodwill. As Ambassador, Christian traveled with a diverse group of youth and adults to England, France and Italy, living in the homes of people there and being exposed to the culture of the countries he traveled to and sharing his life experiences with them.
Christian was a Boy Scout, earned Purple Belt in Tae Kwon Do, Windsor Village Chosen Generation Choir and the Outbreak Youth ministry.…
Christian was a tireless worker having a diverse working experience, including Transportation Security Administration, and finally operating his own business. He finally settling on a career in Welding, as he had enrolled in the Tulsa Welding School, to pursue a career in metal works.
Christian was an active member of Windsor Village United Methodist Church, from his christening and baptism until the present.
He leaves to mourn his parents, Deidra and Robert Ligons, his Grandmothers, Billie Jean Ligons and Dr. Claudette Ligons, Aunts and Uncles Deborah Meyers, Robiatu Ligons, Alvin Pruitt, Jr., Reginald W. Pruitt (Leah) and a host of cousins and extended family.
A memorial service for Christian will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Klein United Methodist Church, 5920 FM 2920, Spring, TX 77388.
