Christopher Wayne Jones, born October 5, 1946 in Center, Texas to Oscar Alton and Thelma Clarese Jones, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at the age of 68. He graduated from Sam Houston High School in Houston, and shortly after enlisted in the USMC during which he proudly served his country for four years during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, he began his career with Shell Oil in Deer Park, Texas which spanned 35 years. After retirement from Shell, he worked contract in the plant for Universal Plant Services for several more years.
Chris is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Linda, daughter Kimberly and Son-in-law Glenn Bilanoski, grandchildren Ty, Elyse, Kurt, Katie, and Eric, sisters Karen Jones and Cherrie Burke and many other family and friends.
Services will be held Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Brookside Funeral Home. Viewing from 10-11 and services from 11-12 with reception to immediately follow.
