

Chris was born on September 8, 1944, in the English countryside, to John & Joan Lyle. He left England at 18, crossing the Atlantic by ship, and settled in the CA Bay Area. After his US Army service in Vietnam, Chris obtained a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of CA, Berkeley. Chris worked and traveled all over the world, from the deserts of Saudi Arabia & Yemen, to the jungles of Thailand and Ghana, to the city streets of Paris and London. Chris started a family and raised his children in the CA Bay Area. Among his many hobbies and pastimes, Chris particularly enjoyed skiing, travelling, playing tennis, reading, sushi & French food, watching a good football game, gardening, but most of all, spending time with his children and family.
Chris is survived by his three daughters, Pamela, Alexandra, and Jennifer, and a large network of family and friends. Memorial Service will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, on Sat.,07/21/12 at 3pm. Reception follows at the family home from 4:30-7:00 pm. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center and The American Cancer Society.
