Clara A. Yanowski

Clara was born to Adam and Susie Kubeczka in Chappell Hill, TX. She was a graduate of Reagan High School in Houston in 1949. After graduation, she met her future husband, Richard Yanowski, at a dance in the Houston Heights. They married on September 2, 1950 in Houston. After Richard concluded his service in the United States Marine Corp, they settled in Houston. They have been members of Assumption Parish since 1953.

Clara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was the heart of her home and was happiest hosting and cooking for gatherings of all types.

In addition to her husband of 62 years Richard, Clara is survived by sons, Daniel Yanowski, Dennis Yanowski and wife Camille of Boerne, TX; daughters, Brenda Yanowski and Kathy Yanowski Hetmaniak and husband Christopher, all of Houston. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Debbie Yanowski, John Hetmaniak and Klaire Hetmaniak; sister, Dolores Little and husband Albert; sister-in-law, Albina Yanowski Jones; brother-in-law, Raymond Yanowski, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Clara was predeceased by her parents; brother, Bennie Kubeczka and wife Ann and brother-in-law, Theodore Yanowski and wife Elizabeth.

The family wishes to thank her caregiver, Flo Camacho; neighbor, Andy Lopez, Father Albert Zanatta, C.R.S. and all of those who helped Richard and Clara during her illness.

Visitation will be at Pat H. Foley & Company on Friday, March 16, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service to begin at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church, 901 Roselane St., Houston, TX 77037. Burial will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, TX 77023.

Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Yanowski, Tommy Yanowski, Greg Little, Darrell Little, Bill Jones and Donald Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Hetmaniak and John Hetmaniak.
