Claude Alexander was born December 14, 1927 in Cecilia, Louisiana into the loving family of Martin and Augustine L. Alexander. As the youngest of seven children he was well loved and his feet never touched the ground. Claude passed on this loving legacy to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He united in Holy Matrimony to Anne Belle Roy. They left Cecilia and made his way to Houston establishing his families' roots in the great state of Texas. This union welcomed two beautiful children: Shirley Ann and Joseph Claude Alexander. As a young man he worked at Hydril Industries as a travel loader operator. A faithful employee he remained on the job for 25 years. An entrepreneur at heart he eventually owned and operated his own trucks until his retirement. Claude was honored numerous times for his safe driving record. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Martin and Augustine, Ralph Alexander, Howard Alexander, Evelyn Joseph, Stella Calvin and Irene Goodie. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Anna, his sister Mary Gordon, his daughter Shirley (John), son Joseph (Vonda) and eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
