

Claudia Susan White, 56, passed away Wednesday March 23, 2011 at Cy-Fair Hospital from a massive blood clot in the lungs. She was born on October 27, 1954 in Houston, Texas to parents Claud and Naomi White. She grew up in Houston, attending Westbury High School and later joined the Houston Police Department in ‘75. After twenty years with the police department, Claudia retired and soon after earned her Associates of Science in Fashion Design from Houston Community College System.
Claudia was a dedicated volunteer at Camp Peniel, a Christian Camp in Marble Falls, Texas. She was known for her strong faith in the Lord and loved to share it with those around her.
Claudia was preceded in death by her parents Claud and Naomi White; her daughter, Rachel Syrisse Sumrall; and her brother Roger White. She is survived by her sons, John and Benjamin Sumrall; daughter-in-laws, Lori Wilson and Debra Sumrall; and grandchildren Rachel, Jesse, and Lucas Sumrall. Claudia’s daughter-in-law Debra is also expecting twins due in early October. She is also survived by her brother, Clyde White, his wife Anne and their children. Claudia will be remembered and missed by her family and many close friends.
Friends are invited to visit with the family April 1, 2011 at Earthman’s Funeral Home (Hunters Creek location) from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Earthman’s Funeral Home (Hunters Creek location) at 11 am, with burial to follow at Memorial Oak Cemetery.
