Clement "Butch" Joseph Pechacek

Clem “Butch” passed away early in the morning on Wednesday, 12-31-14 in Houston, TX at the age of 73 of congestive heart failure and COPD. He was a loving and caring husband and father. He was born on 7-24-41 in Houston, TX to Hattie and Otto Pechacek and was a native Houstonian. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Delories Bubenik and 2 of his children, Christopher (9-20-04) and Crystal Pechacek (12-24-04).

He married the love of his life, Carolyn on 8-14-82 and they raised 3 wonderful children. He is survived by his loving and caring wife, and his son, Cory. He is also survived by his brothers, Hilbert (Willie Mae) Pechacek, Ervin (Edwina) Pechacek of Houston and Melvin (Claudia) Pechacek of Brazoria, TX, his sister, Aline Kominczak of Brookshire, TX and sister-in-law, Jo Ann Safe of Austin, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Clem “Butch” worked for several freight line companies during his lifetime retiring from FedEx in 2003. He graduated from Reagan High School in 1959. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, St. Rose of Lima Men’s Club, SPJST Lodge #88, Knights of Columbus #2917, 4th Degree George A. Wilhelm Assembly, Sons of Hermann and CSA. His greatest joy was raising his children and meeting Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican. He will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.

The visitation will be held on Sunday, January 4th from 3 to 7 pm with a vigil and rosary by the Knights of Columbus #2917 at 5 pm at Earthman Hunters Creek at 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77024. The funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 5th at 10 am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church at 3600 Brinkman St., Houston, TX 77018 with Msgr. Rev. James Anderson officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at 50 Briar Hollow Ln. Ste. 250E, Houston, TX 77027.
