

Clemmie Charles Ryder age, 63, of Dolen, Texas, passed away on December 12, 2023. He was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on January 8, 1960 to parents Clemmie Calvin Ryder and Betty June Ryder.
Clem attended Sam Houston High School. He ran track and held track record for many years he graduated in 1980. He later met Paula in Houston, Texas; they married on June 8, 1985. Clem worked as a machinist at Patco Machine & Fab. Inc. for 37 years. He was a Life Member of Houston Livestock & Rodeo and had a passion for hunting, estate sales, day trips with Paula, running his cattle farm, and above all spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Ryder; father, Clemmie Calvin Ryder; mother and father-in-law Johnny R. Kilpatrick and Marion; son adopted by heart, Douglas W. Runnels Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Kilpatrick Ryder; brothers, Archie Ryder and wife Karen, Calvin Ryder and wife Gail; sister, Charlene Cannon and husband Jerry; son adopted by heart, Darin Runnels Ryder; grandchildren, Jeremy Ryder, Justin Ryder, and Jenna Ryder; great grandchildren, Willow (Critter) Ryder, Orion Ryder, Theo Ryder, Jackson Blackwell, and one due in April; nephews, Camden Ryder, Kyle Cannon, Chad Kilpatrick, Ryan Beshears, and Matt Maurins; nieces, Suzanne Galindo, Kristina Hillburn, Jennifer Smith, Kendra McDowell, and Katie Ryder; brothers-in-law, Michael Kilpatrick and wife Linda, Johnny E. Kilpatrick and wife Penny.
Serving as pallbearers are Michael Kilpatrick, Chad Kilpatrick, Justin Ryder, Calvin Ryder, Archie Ryder, Jeremy Ryder, Camden Ryder and Matt Maurins. Serving as an honorary pallbearer, Mark Ferguson.
A visitation for Clemmie will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
