Clyde Isaac Toval Jr.

He was born in Houston, Texas, on October 12, 1980. Clyde graduated from Cy-Falls High School and received a degree in Education from the University of Houston.

He was married to his beloved wife, Tara Toval, for 13 years, and together they built a life centered around love, family, and their two children, Reid and Riley.

Clyde worked in education as an Adaptive Behavior PE teacher for Cy-Fair ISD for 23 years.

Clyde lived his life with passion, dedication, and a love for others. He proudly earned his Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and found great joy in coaching and mentoring those around him. He was a devoted supporter and coach for the Special Olympics and believed deeply in encouraging and uplifting others. Clyde had a lifelong love of music and was a proud fan of the Houston Cougars, always cheering them on. Above all else, he cherished time spent with his family, who meant the world to him. His passion, generosity, and unwavering support left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his wife, Tara Toval; his son, Reid Isaac Toval; his daughter, Riley Rae Toval; his parents, Clyde Sr. and Tizsona Toval; his sisters, Nicole Palmer (Bryan Palmer) and Kourtnie Freeman (Cory Freeman); his nieces and nephews, Jada and Cameron Palmer, Franklin and Roxylin Freeman, and Henry, Oliver, and Caroline Monteilh; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Kimberly Welge and Kurt and Sue Mollner; and his sisters- and brothers-in-law, Brittney Monteilh (Matthew), Paul Welge (Jill), and Kyle Welge (Jillian).

A celebration of Clyde’s life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Copperfield Community Center Pavilion, 15409 Willow River Dr., Houston, TX 77095. Family and friends are invited to an outdoor gathering to remember and celebrate his life.
