Columbus E. Bruner Jr. "Chris", beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Houston, TX, on Sunday, that 10th of August at the age of 75. Born in Chandler, Oklahoma, Columbus lived a life marked by love, family, and resilience.
He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Nancy A. Bruner, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership. Together, they built a family grounded in care, strength, and devotion.
Columbus is survived by his two children, Terron Bruner and Tinesha Bruner; four treasured grandchildren Zoe Bruner, Kinzie Bruner, Caman Pearson, and Gabriel Pearson; and his sister, Kathy Thompson. His memory will also live on in the hearts of extended family and friends who were fortunate to know him.
Known for his dedication to family and his sense of humor, Columbus leaves behind a legacy of warmth, guidance, and unwavering support for those he loved.
A memorial service is to be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 25th of August, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
