

Connie was born on December 31, 1950, in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Jefferson High School. She went on to build a dedicated career as a retail store manager, where her strong work ethic and warm personality left a lasting impression on those she worked with.
Connie had a deep passion for her faith, her grandchildren, music, dancing, and brain puzzles. A devoted Catholic, she prayed daily and found strength and joy in her spirituality. She was a loving mother and grandmother whose laughter, love of music, and joyful spirit touched everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Medina; her father, Luciano Salazar; her sister, Bitsy Charles; her brother, Chano Salazar; her sister, Carol Morales; and her son, Manuel Lopez.
Connie is survived by her children: Tracy Lopez and partner Cari Rydbom, Vanessa Carrizales and her husband Omar Carrizales, Marinda Reyes, Marcelina Hensley, and Jessie Salazar and his wife Brenda Salazar.
She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Avery Reyes, Valisa L., Andrea M., Alyssa M., Debbie H., Jayren Young, Jason Young, Micah J., Jazmin S., Jay S., Mathew S., Aiden S., Emma S., and Marielena Rydbom and Great Grandson King Young.
She is also survived by her siblings: Theresa Gomez, Virginia Salazar, Pat Torres, Angel Salazar, and Jesse Salazar.
Connie’s memory will live on through the love she shared, the faith she carried, and the joy she brought into the lives of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
