

She attended Lincoln High School in College Station, Texas, and completed her graduation plans at Phyllis Wheatley High School in Houston, Texas. She furthered her education at Houston Community College where she earned an associate’s degree in child development. For ten years, she was employed as an educator with the Houston Independent School District. She later pursued her dreams of becoming an entrepreneur by opening Foreman Child Care and Bust Service. She retired from this calling in 2008.
Her walk with Christ began at an early age in College Station, Texas when she accepted Him as her Shepherd. She was ever comforted by her favorite scripture, The 23rd Number of Psalm. Her spiritual life matured in Christ over the years under the leadership and tutelage of the Reverend George Foreman of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
While residing in Houston, she met and married Robert Foreman in 1958. Three children, Robert Jr., Debra, and Zina Foreman were born in this union. Later in her life, she was blessed with a God-sent daughter, Yavonda Steptoe.
Cora was passionate about God, her family, friends, and anyone needing love and affection. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, singing (Gospel music), and watching a plethora of old movies. She was very generous with her time, talent, and treasures.
On Monday, August 12, 2024, her daughter’s birthday. Cora transitioned from this life to her heavenly home and from labor to reward at HCA Hospital in Pasadena, Texas. Cora leaves behind to share her legacy, four children, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A visitation for Cora will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A funeral service will immediately follow from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A committal will immediately follow services 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Paradise Funeral Home & Cemetery North, 10401 W Montgomery Rd, Houston, TX 77088.
