Daniel Achilles Groh, Jr. passed away peacefully on January 24, 2013 at his home of cancer. Daniel was born on May 21, 1930 in San Antonio, TX. He graduated from the University of Houston in 1983 with a B.A. in Art History.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Helen Groh, Sr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Mary S. Groh. Seven children, John Groh, Mary Ellen Strysik, Rose Barnard, Danissa Knuston, Daniel A. Groh, III, Danette Kraft, and Shana Hodges. Fifteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Brookside Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Brookside Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Monday, January 28, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home on Lauder.
