Daniel Holland

Daniel Terry Holland, 80, of Splendora, Texas, joined his Lord and Savior on June 22, 2023. He was born August 24, 1942 in Memphis, Tennessee to James Walter Holland and Ruby Alene Jones Holland, who preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by his brothers Gerald James Holland and William Henry Holland and sister Ruby Joyce Dulaney. He is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn, of 51 years, his son Daniel Jr. and wife Rebecca, daughter Melissa and husband Jack, son Scottie, daughter Andrea, son Andy, daughter Candi and husband Kyle and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Daniel felt he was an extremely blessed man to be gifted with three sons and three daughters. He spent many years working as a butcher for Kroger and Archie’s Food Basket. He was referred to by many as “Dan the Man with the Mustache” because of his remarkable handlebar mustache. Despite all the disadvantages that life threw at him, he lived life to the absolute fullest. When he was not working, he enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his family. He was always happiest when all of his kids, grandkids, great grandkids, nieces and nephews gathered at his home.

A visitation for Daniel will be held Monday, June 26, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral services will occur Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A burial committal will occur Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
