Shane was born on January 22, 1969, in Houston, Texas, to Charles Leonard Weldon and Linda Raye Pool. After graduating from high school, he began his career as a machinist. In 2006, Shane married the love of his life, Gina Weldon.
He enjoyed watching Texas A&M football, going deer hunting, smoking bar-b-que on the pit especially ribs, and spending time watching old westerns on TV. Shane had a deep passion for raising animals through FFA and devoted countless hours to mentoring students with their projects in Houston and the surrounding areas. He was known for encouraging young people to work hard, believe in themselves, and strive for success—always wanting the very best for the students who were close to his heart.
Shane was preceded in death by his father, Charles Leonard Weldon; his brother, Michael Burkes; his stepfather, Vernon Pool; his uncle, Craig Knowlton; and brother-in-law, Keith Robinson.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Gina Weldon; his mother, Linda Pool; his sons, Anthony Murray, Daniel Weldon (Ashley), Justin Weldon, and Shawn Montalbano (Samantha); and his grandchildren, Aidyn, Paige, Kortnie, Lily, and Leo. He is also survived by his brother, John Burks (Laura); his sisters, Sonia Cheney (James) and Tamie Weldon; brother-in-laws, Randall Robinson (Kelly) and Jeff Robinson (Sherrie); and sister-in-law, Sheila Burks; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
