

David Brian Middlebrooks passed away January 5, 2015. Born on January 25, 1954 in Orlando, Florida, David was the son of Frances Lee McDonald and Billy Moore Middlebrooks. He attended Memorial High School in Houston and graduated with a B.A. in Economics and an MBA from The University of Texas in Austin. He had a long and successful career at ExxonMobil over the course of 35 years and was a member of Second Baptist Church in Houston.
David is survived by his wife, Jane Duke Middlebrooks; daughter Corissa Stahl, and husband Jonathan Stahl, grandchildren Dylan and Hunter Stahl; son Billy Middlebrooks; stepdaughter Rebecca Beaty and stepson Robert Beaty. He is also survived by his brothers Donald Middlebrooks and Douglas Middlebrooks and sisters Debby Eichelberger and Diana Stangl and numerous nephews and nieces whom he loved very much.
David‘s love for family and friends, generosity, contagious laugh, storytelling, service to others, and passion for life will remain in our hearts forever. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent many hours on the water boating, fishing, skiing, and diving. He loved sports including tennis, golf, rugby and soccer.
In lieu of customary remembrances and in response to David’s value of education and Christian principles, the family requests with gratitude that any memorial contributions be directed to either the Star of Hope Mission in Houston or the ExxonMobil Employees Endowment for Excellence in Business Education – University of Texas McCombs School of Business (#57103998).
A Memorial Service will be conducted on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 11:00 am in The Sanctuary at Second Baptist Church, 6400 Woodway, Houston, Texas 77057 with a reception following in the Deacon's Parlor at Second Baptist Church. Prior to the memorial service, the family will have gathered for a private interment.
