Harold and Dawn grew up in Muskegon, Michigan. Newly married and new to Texas, they almost fled back north after their first day in a sand storm in West Texas, but she became a true Texan. The family took annual treks to National Parks, camping, canoeing and climbing in the outdoors . Dawn also loved bridge parties, sewing, ladies’ Bible study and holiday baking and crafts. Dawn is survived by her children, Pamela Laflin and her husband, George, Michael and Kathy Larsen, Mark and Gwi Larsen all of Houston, and Matthew and Lori Larsen of Atlanta. Dawn has 5 grandchildren, Mitchell and Anna Laflin and Erik, Joel and Kyle Larsen. Dawn’s sister, Coral Ritter, and brother, David Sietsema and his wife, Nancy, live in Muskegon, Michigan. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at Holly Hall Retirement Community, 2000 Holly Hall St., at 3:30p on Sunday, June 9th .
