Dhanraj Ramraj

Dhanraj "Toy" Ramraj, age 57, passed on December 2, 2016. He was born December 15, 1958 in Trinidad & Tobago. Toy attended San Fernando Technical Institute and received a degree in Auto and Diesel technology; he was a highly skilled technician and welder who loved everything mechanical. He was a member of the city union. Toy loved soccer, cricket, music, singing, dancing, rice dishes, the beach and the simple things. He was outgoing with many friends; always smiling, selfless, he had the kindest, most giving heart.

Toy is survived by his wife of 32 years, Asha, his children: Marlon, Mellissa & her husband Ryan, and his granddaughter, London, the twinkle of his eye. Also, survived by his mother, Chanardai, two sisters, Rose & Monica. He is preceeded by his father Ramraj Sooknanan.

He loved his family, worked hard for them. One can say, he was Superman, loved by all who knew him and knew his character and courage. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten. He often said, "Don't worry," because he knew this, "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8: 38, 39. Life without end at last!

Family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, December 11, 2016 from 1:00p.m. - 3:00p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039, along with a reception in the Grand Hospitality Room. Funeral service will follow at 3:00p.m. in the Grand Chapel.
