

She was the sixth of eight children of the late Leroy Joseph Skipper and Esther Marie Skipper, born on August 12, 1959, in Houston, Texas. Diana attended school in Houston, Texas. Diana accepted Christ as a young girl. After graduating from high school, Diana decided to travel the world where she met her husband, John Samuel Williams. Together, they had one child: Mrs. Danielle Na’Tasha Wooten.
After being in banking for more than ten years, Diana then pursued a career in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice where she retired after 20 years of Correctional Officer service. Diana was a courageous, nurturing, member of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Department where she served with great distinction. Diana was extremely passionate about her career, she was dedicated to the women’s outreach program to help serve women in distress, through counseling, support, and rehabilitation.
Diana was a woman who filled many roles in her lifetime. She was an Usher at East Park Missionary Baptist Church, served as the Lead Usher at East Houston Trinity Walk of Faith, served as the Lead Usher at Inner-Strength Christian Fellowship Ministries, served on the committee of The Women’s Outreach Program at (TDCJ), and was a beloved and successful technician at the Santa Maria Success Through Recovery Center.
In her free time Diana enjoyed shopping, crafting, hair styling and braiding, vacationing with her family, spending quality time with her nieces and nephews, cooking soul food dinners for her family, enjoying fresh seafood, piratically crabs, visiting her brothers, and loving her dogs. But most of all she loved to spend time with her daughter, son in law and grandkids. Diana was known by all who knew her as an exceptionally kind woman who was there for everyone.
Diana is survived by her loving daughter Danielle Na’Tasha Wooten (Boo), and her husband Sean Wooten (Sunin law), her grandkids Shoniece Marie Wooten (Booskootah), Danrick De’Sean Wooten (Pooh, King P), her 4 brothers Edward Earl Skipper, Daniel Irvin Skipper Sr. (Dookie), Pastor Rodney Nathaniel Skipper Sr. (Pookie), David Matthew Skipper Sr., and a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Diana will be held Friday, February 4, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Paradise Funeral Home, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 4, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A committal service will occur Friday, February 4, 2022 from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM at Paradise Cemetery North, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088.
