He was the only child born to Fritz and Centa Klein.
As a young man he migrated to the United States in 1957. Here he enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. Deiter was a draftsman by trade and an expert engraver and landscape painter.
He was a member of the Commerative Air Force for 45 years and a member of Saint John Vianney Catholic Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Joan Marie Klein, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
