Dolores Arredondo Blair was born on December 20, 1933, in La Porte, Texas. She passed into the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on December 10, 2025, at the youthful age of 91 years old. Dolores is survived by her five children, Belinda Smithwick and spouse Tim, Mark Lawson, Alan Lawson, and spouse Lesley, Luther Lawson, and Damon Mathews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Maria Gomez and Alfonso Arredondo, and nine siblings, Luther, Albert, Ernest, Alfonso (Uncle Pete), Blass, Mary, and Benito (Uncle Benny.) She is survived by ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Avie Grace Pickett, due February 2026, would have been her first great great great grandchild. Dolores was a friend to many people throughout her lifetime. Her love language was giving and serving to others. Her home was the "hangout" for many neighborhood kids, where she would serve fresh homemade cookies and Kool-Aid. She loved to cook and she spent hours in the kitchen baking. In her later years, she successfully managed her own home health care business. Dolores was a whiz with numbers, and she enjoyed working crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She loved the Houston Astros, and almost never missed a home game. She will be dearly missed by family and her many friends.
