Dolores Cassidy Dawson

Dolores Cassidy Dawson of Houston, Texas, passed away on August 1st 2024 at the age of 95. She was born on August 8th, 1928, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada where she was raised in a loving home. While living in Texas, she often mentioned how she missed the snow!!

She worked as a cake decorator for many years, and after retirement became a long-time loving care giver for dear friends and neighbors, the Schein family, who lovingly called her “Dede”.

She is preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, brothers, cousins, aunts and uncles.

She is survived by one son, two daughters, one son-in-law, three grandsons, one granddaughter, one great-grandson, nieces and nephews.

Dolores always brought joy and happiness wherever she went. She loved music and dancing and singing songs in both English and in French, singing French songs right up to the last few months of her long, happy and fruitful life.

The family would like to thank the countless selfless nurses and caregivers for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in her last few months and final days at The Auberge.
