Donald, affectionately known as Donnie to a few and “Don” to many others, attended Waltrip High School and went on to serve his country proudly in the United States Air Force at Lackland Air Force Base, where he was a member of the 3701st Squadron. His service was a source of pride throughout his life.
Donnie was baptized at St. Theresa Catholic Church in May of 1957. He was a member of both the American Legion and the Moose Lodge.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures and loved spending his time shuffle boarding, playing darts, bowling, country and western dancing, fishing, camping, and sharing laughs at get-togethers with family and friends.
He is survived by his sister, Cheryl Franke (Ricky), his niece Rachel, and his nephew James Matthew “Matt” Bryan, who will cherish his memory always.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Worley O. Bryan Jr. and Florence Elizabeth “Betty” Bryan, as well as his older brother, James W. Bryan.
Donnie’s legacy lives on through the love he shared, the friendships he built, and the memories he leaves behind.
