Donald was a surprise to his parents and his doctor. Preparing to leave minutes after Ronald Lynn Foreman was born, the doctor stopped when he heard the nurse say, “Wait, Doctor, there is a second baby coming!” Donald was an identical twin.
Don, always a tease, was a surprise when you got to know him. He was kind and caring to everyone. He was especially kind to those people whom many people would always shun. He was an active member of the Church, seldom missing a Sunday, until he became ill in May of 2023.
Don grew up in Odessa, Texas. Soon after graduation from Odessa High School, he joined the Air Force. His first assignment was at Wyoming Francis E. Warren AFB in the Strategic Air Command. From there, he was sent to Prestwick Air Base in Scotland, where he also worked in supplies until the end of his four-year tour. Returning home to Odessa, Don went to work at Control Equipment and attended Night School at Odessa College. One night, a young substitute teacher entered the class. Don turned to his neighbor and said, “I am going to marry her.” After a short courtship, he married Marita Jane Webb. After finishing his B.A. degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, they moved to Houston in 1970. Don began work for KenDavis Industries in purchasing and supplies. Through the years, he moved from various oil companies, but his longest stay was with Foster Wheeler. In 1985, because of a slow-down of jobs, Don opened The Scripture Shop, a Christian book and gift store, in a new area on Highway 6 and Bellaire. A year after the shop opened, he turned the running of the shop over to his mother and went back to working at various engineering firms. In 2000 and 2003, Foster Wheeler sent him to work in Venezuela.
In 2006 Don and Marita moved from Mission Bend to a senior community, Heritage Grand in the Katy area. Don served on the Heritage Grand Board of Directors for three years. In 2009, he retired from Jacob’s Engineering. He loved playing golf, the many activities at the clubhouse, and sitting by the door visiting with everyone who came in.
He was preceded in death by his father, Milton Monroe Foreman, his mother, Elizabeth Royer Foreman, and his twin brother, Ronald Lynn Foreman.
Donald is survived by his wife, Marita Jane Webb Foreman; his son, Parke Jackson Foreman (Brooke B. Foreman); his son, James Glynn Foreman (Brandi Foreman); his grandchildren, Ashleigh Foreman, Jake Foreman, Brooke Elizabeth Foreman, Rio Lynn Foreman, Ciarr Jones, Abbigail Murray, Emily Murray, and Nathaniel Murray; and his great-grandchildren, Adrian Jones and June Jones.

A Committal Service will be held at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038, US, on March 19, 2026, from 1:45 pm to 2:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Kingsland Campus St. Peter's United Methodist Church, 20775 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, Texas 77450, on March 21, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
