Donald J. McWethey, 87, of Spring Texas entered into rest January 31, 2017. He was born January 17, 1930 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to parents Jack and Mabel McWethey. He enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served our country.
Donald had a passion for water skiing, being out on his boat, and most activities involving water. In his earlier years, Donald and his wife Ruth enjoyed to square dance and travel to different states. At one point in his life, Donald was a race car driver. Most of all, Donald loved to spend time and paly with his grandchildren and his great grandchild.
He is survived by his loving wife Ruth McWethey of 42 years, daughter Kelly Murphy and husband Glenn, grandchildren Alicia Liberotti and Dillon Murphy, great grandchild Delilah Liberotti, and sister Edith Langston.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 3, 2017 from 9:30am to 11:00am at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 3, 2017 at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038 with Military Honors.
