I still can't believe that it's true and already one year.  A painful loss to America.  I hope the family will continue to remain close and keep in touch with us.   Rest in peace Charlotte and Don.  You'll never be forgotten.

We had the honor to know Don for the last 10 years.  From the day he entered my sister's life, he was family.  He was gracious, honest, and intelligent.  He was a great Dad, Grandfather, and a loving Husband.  The Love he and Elaine shared was truly a gift.  We were lucky to have him as our brother-in-law and uncle.  We will miss him but he will live forever in our many cherished memories.

I am a good friend of his son Gregory. As Greg's friend I have had the privelege to hear several times Greg telling me about the teachings he received from his father.  Although I have never met the late Mr. Testerman, I see his character, and integrity reflected in his son Greg. What a legacy!  I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the whole Testerman family.

Grandad Testerman was such a great blessing to our family. He was a great leader in our family, and raised such amazing and strong children. Im so gratful for the gifts he passed on to my mother, Janet Testerman. He was always so jolly and witty even in his last months. God Bless you Grandad, and thank you for the many lessons you past to us. Love you and we sure will miss you.

I'll miss my granddad - he was by far the most good-natured person I've ever known. He lived life the way it should be lived - prolifically, eventfully, with pleasure and charm and wit and with a moral integrity so complete that I'd find its example rather forbidding did it not seem to flow from him so effortlessly. Never has my admiration for another person been so thorough, so unqualified. To say that he excelled in his grandpaternal capacity would be to perpetrate the grossest of understatements. He was by all accounts happy with the life he lived, but I will remain of the opinion that his life was all too short: he'd just embarked on his career as a great-granddad, and I'd greedily hoped to see him flourish in that capacity, too. July 23, 2010, was a dark day for the Testerman family, as well as for many, many others. May death be not proud.

Love and kind thoughts to the entire Testerman family - There are not enough words!!

A handsome, tender, gentle giant with a commanding presence - a silent infectious smile that always had such great meaning - a knock on the door and the tender touch of a beautiful rose picked from his yard, making you feel so special - the delicious marqueritas and wonderful conversations about Ruby and Ol' Ted, the Sayre's, Joplin, Bloomington, the garment district, Talon zipper, the children, the church and their love of living, giving, and sharing his great pride, sincere love and devotion to Charlotte, their children and grandchildren was indefatigable....!
Don and Charlotte lived and shared their good life creating much love and joy with everlasting memories.
The entire Testerman family is a living monument and role model as a true American family honoring, remembering and teaching the legacy of those who have died for our country.  Thank you for your service to our country, Don, my good friend.

At a time like this, we are at a loss for words to express our condolence to your family who has lost a loved one.

Donald was a great man who was kind and gentle. It was a pleasure to have him as our family member and you will be greatly missed.

My sincere thoughts and prayers are with the entire Testerman family. I met Greg's dad, Don, when he was visiting Miami years ago.  He left such an impression on me as to a great Dad and loving Grandad.  Being a grandparent he fit the role model with qualities for me to follow.  Over the years Greg updated me on his dad and you could see the pride his Dad gave him.  Greg always spoke in a loving way of his siblings which shows lots of love.  You are all so blessed and the memory of Don lives on through the hearts of all of us.

I will never forget the first time I met him and he showed me around Joplin, MO and where all his "good friends" were.  Such a funny and loving man.  I loved talking to him.  You will be missed.

I was never so blessed as I was the day I became part of the Testerman Family.  I could not have asked for a better father-in-law.  His kindness, huge heart, and positive attitude were such an inspiration to me.  I could not have cared and loved him more if he were my own father.  I will truly miss him but will always remember his never ending smile and the memories that will be with me forever.  Thank you "dad" for the way you touched my life and so many others. Someone told me about Don's death and I wanted to make sure you all as family knew of my thoughts and prayers! Don was a very impressive man! Mr. Testerman's passing has deeply saddened me. Don was such a great man who enjoyed the company of his students and had a great sense of humor. He was always smiling and willing to share his experience and wise insight. He will always seem like a grandfather figure to me and will always be a part of my adolescent memories. I send my condolences to his family and all of the people he has touched. Rest in peace Mr.Testerman

Our sincere prayers and greatest sympathies go to Mr. Don Testerman's family.  He was a great asset to our faculty and staff and was loved by our students.  He would walk through the halls tall and always smiled.  He always had humourous anecdotes to share.  I could always depend on him to brighten my moods and was encouraging everyday.  Mr. Testerman came to visit in the gym often, start a story with "Back in the day....", end with "Just hang in there." and leave with a chuckle.  He had much to give and share.  He would empty his pockets for anyone.  The St. Jerome community will greatly miss this great man and we thank him for what he has given to our hearts.  God Bless.
