

Survived by his sister Ginger Morganti; his three children Dante Vecchione, Dino Vecchione & Danielle Discon; grandchildren, Josette Vecchione, Nikolas Vecchione, Olivia Discon, Vincent Discon, Angelina Discon, Talia Discon, Giuliana Vecchione, Joseph Discon, Angelina Vecchione, and “Baby”Stella Guagenti.
Donald grew up in Queens, NY, where his love for sports, dogs, family, fun and life of laughter began.
At the age of 18, he began a fulfilling career at Pam American Airlines, allowing him to travel and see much of the world and also where he met his wife and many lifelong friends.
In 1982, he would take over Lone Star Provisions from his father, building a successful small business--later to be succeeded by his son, where it continues to prosper. Three generations and nearly 80 years later, it is a family legacy that resides not only in New York, but also Texas, where he settled later in life with his companion and partner , Stella Guagenti.
Donald was known for his quick wit, humor, his love of golf, and most of all: his role as Papa!
His memorial service will be held at Brookside Funeral Home in Houston, TX, on January 9th from 5-7:00 pm.
Donald’s final resting place will be in New York. Date to be determined soon.
