Donna Jean Covington

Donna was born in Jackson, Michigan on February 28, 1941. She married the love of her life, James Covington on June 29, 1962. They were blessed to be married for 62 years! She had many careers but the most memorable were in the Oil and Gas industry, a hospital in the surgery department (lots of stories there), St. Peters UMC and Sam’s Club. She also had a side quilt business. She loved her family deeply and enjoyed travelling and taking trips around the U.S. and abroad. She loved to host holiday celebrations for her family and friends. Donna had a very generous soul, and it showed through the love of her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her daughter, Teonni Leigh Covington, her parents, George and Eleanor Jackson and her sister Margaret Tourneur. She is survived by her husband, James Covington, her children, Michael Covington (Julie) and Julie Ingram (Tim), her grandchildren, James Hunold (Megan), Darryl Covington (Heidi), Amanda Pitman, John Covington (Whitney), William Covington and her great-grandchildren, Ava, Jayden, Lola, Jeremiah, Wesley, Aubrey, Norah and Wyatt and Shelby along with other family and friends.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the wonderful caregivers at Three Oaks Hospice. They were truly a blessing to Donna and family.
