Donna was born to Joan and John "Jack" Delaney on November 20, 1947 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Donna grew up in Coon Rapids, MN and graduated from Anoka Senior High School. Immediately after graduation she began her life long career in the banking industry as a bank teller. As an adult, Donna followed her parents to Florida were she lived for a short time before moving to Texas, initially to Dallas then to the Houston area, living in Sugarland, Katy and Houston. Donna flourished in the banking industry, progressing through the ranks from teller to eventually becoming a Commercial Mortgage Loan Officer, a position she held until her retirement. At the time of her death, Donna was President of the Westhollow Villa Townhomes Association. As a very dedicated officer of the HOA, Donna worked continuously to ensure that the residents had a beautiful and safe neighborhood, making new friends at every home.
An avid reader and lover of a good Mystery novel, Donna always had a stack of books on her table. The Kendall branch of the Houston Public Library needed a revolving door to accommodate Donna's weekly visits, arms loaded with books both coming in and going out. Donna enjoyed traveling and memory making with close friends, touring Italy, Germany and many other countries. A yearly visit with her life-long childhood friend Diane, was always a visit filled with long talks, catching up on life events, sharing old memories and making new ones. A yearly trip, alternating between Texas and Minnesota each year, was eagerly anticipated by both.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, her loving daughter Kari Lynn Logan Ebarb and her brothers James Allen Delaney and Donald James Delaney. She is survived by five siblings, brothers Richard L. Delaney of Houston, TX, Michael J. Delaney and wife Katie of Melbourne, FL, Robert A. "Bob" Delaney of Melbourne, FL, sisters Linda A.
