

Rev. Dr. Doris Hokett was a devoted missionary whose life was marked by extraordinary faith, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to God's call. She passed into glory on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, leaving behind a legacy that spans nations and generations.
Raised in Texas, USA, she answered a call to missions in Africa, where she served alongside her husband, Rev. Dr. Arthur Hoket, for over five decades. Together, they preached across more than 40 nations and helped establish 152 churches, particularly in Nigeria and Ghana. After serving with the Assemblies of God in Ghana for many years, they moved to Lagos, Nigeria. From there, they strengthened and encouraged many more churches and ministries around the world, including in Zimbabwe, Zambia, India, South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, Namibia, the Netherlands, Togo, Niger, Uganda, and many more, through their annual missionary journeys.
Widowed in 2011, she continued her mission work tirelessly. She is remembered for her unwavering faith, impactful ministry, and the legacy of transformed lives and generations she leaves behind. She is survived by her sister, a loving son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
