Dorothy Baldwin

Dorothy was married to James A. Baldwin for 59 loving years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and listening to music. Dorothy and James were very devoted parents. They saw to it that their children went to church and excelled in school. Birthdays, Christmas, and Easter were very special occasions. The family went on a yearly vacation either camping, to the farm or to Colorado. Dorothy was a fulltime homemaker and in the 1970's was a real estate agent.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter Rita Kay Lawson, son Alan Baldwin and wife Lilly, brother Andrew Kelley and wife Marta, Grandchildren; Richard Beverlin and wife Rosemary, John Beverlin and wife Lindsey, Kelley Shaffner and husband Aaron, Nicole Sever and husband Greg, Crystal Westcott, Kimberly Gore and husband Heath, and Jeffrey Lawson, Thirteen great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Angeline Kelley, daughter Cecelia Beverlin, great grandson James Beverlin, and she is also reunited with the love of her life, her husband James Baldwin.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with a Rosary from 7:00pm to 8:00pm at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 11:30am at American Heritage Funeral Home with a committal service to follow to the Houston National Cemetery.
