Dorothy V. Dow (Nanny), 88, of Porter, Texas passed into eternal rest on August 20, 2017. She was born in Houston, Texas on November 29, 1928. She was married to James C. Dow, Sr. in June 1945. Dorothy Dow had a career as an operator for Southwestern Bell and also as a bus driver for New Caney ISD.
Left to cherish her memories are daughter Sandra Stevens & husband Emmett; son James C. Dow, Jr. & wife Linda; grandson Johnny Poland; granddaughter Tonya Behar & husband Mike; great-grandchildren: Briana Dow, Clayton Pennington, Devon Pennington; great-great-grandchildren: James Melofsky, Jaxon Melofsky, Raymond Morara.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. Graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas 77023.
