Dorothy “Babe” Joanna Holland went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 6, 2017. She was born on April 6, 1930 in Dallas, Texas to parents Willie Bell and James Frank Orrick. Babe was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 55 years, Gene Holland. She is survived by her two children, Terre Carroll and husband Dennis, Melodye Montgomery and husband Doug; three grandchildren, Jennifer Montgomery, Kimberly Montgomery, Michael Montgomery; and one great grandchild, Bentley Montgomery.
The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM; and a funeral service Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home; followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
