

Dorothy (Dottie) Richardson, 95, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, departed peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2015 to join her husband, William (Bill) F. Richardson, who passed away on December 6, 2005. She is survived by her four children, Janet Kubiak, husband, Gene Kubiak, Steven Richardson, wife, Antoinette Richardson, Robert Richardson, and William Richardson, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and her sister, Caroline Rotilio, 98, who lives in New Jersey.
Dottie was born on August 21, 1919 in East Rutherford, NJ to her parents, Willi Guhl and Elisabeth Egereer and 11 brothers and sisters. She served in the US Navy during World War II from May 1944 to March 1946 as a 3rd Class Yeoman Commdets 8th Naval District. There she met Bill and they married on November 23, 1946. The family lived in New Jersey prior to relocating to Houston, Texas in December, 1969. Dottie worked at Sloan Furniture from 1973 to 1981 and devoted much of her time to taking care of her children and grandchildren. She was also a devoted member of St. John Vianney’s Catholic Church. She will be deeply missed by her family and the community.
Friends are welcome to join the family for a church service for Dottie at Saint John Vianney’s Church, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail in Houston, on June 15, 2015 at 10:30AM. Family will attend a service in honor of Dottie at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery at 2:00PM.
The family is asking in lieu of flowers that individuals make a donation to their favorite charity.
