Dorris Irene Kent, 85, born September 14, 1928 in Hazlehurst, Mississippi entered into eternal rest January 1, 2014. Dorris is preceded in death by: father,Theodore Pell; mother,Beatrice Bailey Pell; sister,Christine Hodges; sister,Linda Pierce; son, Gene Dalton Kent, Sr.; grandsons: Gene Dalton Kent, Jr. and Jason Dean Kent. Left to cherish her memories: sisters: Ruth Stokes and husband Al, Callie Stokes, Susan Hill and husband John; sons: Ben Ward Kent, Jr. and wife Janet, Jimmy Daron Kent, Michael Shannon Kent and wife Renee; daughter, Sherri Kent Bridgewater and husband Monte Chris Bridgewater; grandchildren: Angie, David Bruce Kent, Natalie Kent Morse and husband Jared, Johnathon Ira Gabehart and wife Brandi, Jeffrey Ira Kent, Eric Roman, Leslie Michael, Mary Elizabeth, and Marrissa Sean Bridgewater with Fiance Brian Cordell Dimitroff; great grandchildren: Terry Lee, Johnathon David, Kaylynn Ann, Raven Alexis, K’alah Marie, Trevor Alan, and Jared Aidan. Serving as Pallbearers are: David Bruce Kent, Jared Morse, Brian Cordell Dimitroff, and Michael Klekotta. ***A special thank you should be given to her Son-In-Law, Monte, who for the past year gave her love and devotion by caring for her day and night tending to all of her wants and needs. Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 5th from 5-8pm at Brookside Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at 1:30pm, Monday, Jan. 6th in Brookside Memorial Park.
