

Doug earned a BS Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas, Austin. He was a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas and was a lifetime member of the University of Texas alumni.
Doug enjoyed gardening and planting flowers in pots. He took great pleasure being outdoors, he and his daughter spent time together hiking and water rafting. He loved to travel and had many family trips to Alaska and New York City.
Preceded in death by his parents, Harold Leopold Jantz and Marie Sulak Jantz. He is survived by his loving wife off 55 years, Pat; son, Christopher Jantz; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Brian Badeau; sister, Sharon Jantz and nephew, Dennis Clark. Also surviving are several cousins.
A visitation for Doug will be held Monday, April 14, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, Texas 77018. A vigil service will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. St. Rose of Lima Catholic Community, 3600 Brinkman Street, Houston, Texas 77018. The Rite of Committal will follow in Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060.
