With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Eddie Longoria, age 57, of Houston, Texas, who left us far too soon on May 2, 2025. Born on October 15, 1967, in Houston, Eddie brought light, laughter, and creativity into the lives of all who knew him.
Eddie built a life rooted in hard work, love, and devoted to his family. He worked proudy in home remodeling and construction, a career where his hands shaped more than just homes-they helped shape a future for those he loved.
But beyond his trade, Eddie was an artist at heart. He had a true passion for drawing and creating, always finding beauty in the world around him.
Family was everything to Eddie. He was a devoted father, a proud grandfather, a loving son, and a cherished brother.
He was the kind of person who made everyone feel seen and valued-whose presence filled a room with warmth, laughter and his absence leaves a silence that cannot be filled.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy G. Longoria, whose memory Eddie carried close throughout his life.
Along with his sisters Priscilla Longoria and Elizabeth Cabello.
Eddie is survived by his loving mother, Irma Rojas Gonzalez, and by his children: Eddie Longoria Jr, Crystal Marie Longoria, Joe Angel Longoria, Amanda Ann Longoria, as well as his devoted daughter in laws Davida L. Longoria and Ashley N. Romero. His legacy continues through his many beloved grandchildren: Abigail J. Longoria, Jacob A. Sosa, Eddie M. Longoria, Zayda M. Sosa, Noah E. Longoria, Zyla C. Longoria, Eddie N. Longoria, Joseph J.Longoria, Jamari I. Longoria, Amariyah Lewis Longoria, Emerri Lewis Longoria, Amina A. Longoria, Damion R.Robles, Erica J. Luna, Eric L. Luna Jr., Joseph E. Longoria, Julian J. Gonzales, Joe L. Gonzales Ill, Christopher C.Coronado, Jiselle G. Gonzales, and Joshua A. Gonzales.
He is also survived by his brothers and sisters as well as his uncle and aunt who knew him not only as a nephew or sibling, but as a protector, a friend, and a source of laughter and support: (Uncle) Roy Gonzales, (Aunt) Juanita Gonzales and his siblings Jimmy Jr. Longoria, Priscilla Longoria, Elizabeth Cabello, Irene Padron, David Longoria, Doray Prescella, Jo Ann Prescella, Rebecca Longoria, Angie Longoria, and Marty Prescalla.
Eddie will be remembered not only for his talents and hard work but for the love he gave so freely and the lives he touched so deeply.May he rest in peace, surrounded by the grace he gave to others.
