

Edelmira V. Lopez, 73, went with the Lord peacefully on Monday June 15, 2015 at her residence in Houston, Texas. She was born on April 2, 1942 in Cutzalmala de Pinzón, Guerrero, Mexico. Edelmira was a talented singer, seamstress and cake decorator.
Mrs. Lopez was preceded in death by her parents: Hilaria Aguirre Mundo and Salvador Vega Valle, and by her half-sister, Aquilina Vega.
She is survived by husband, Justo E. Lopez; daughter: Deborah E. Lopez Garcia and son-in-law, Joe Garcia of Houston; son, Daniel N. Lopez, daughter-in-law, Christine Johnson of Humble; granddaughters: Priscilla Gonzales and husband Jacob and Valerie Garcia of Houston; two precious great granddaughters: Jasmine and Aniyah Gonzales of Houston; brothers: Reynaldo Vega of Humble, Salvador and Isidro Vega of Mexico City, Mexico; sisters: Maria Luisa Ford of Brownsville, Maria del Carmen Aguirre of Houston and Maria Eva Escobedo of Houston; many nieces and nephews in United States and Mexico. Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2015 from 5-9pm with a Prayer Service at 7pm. Funeral Services will be held at 3pm, Saturday, June 20, 2015 in the Grand Chapel of Brookside Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
