Happy Birthday Daddy. I know you are not here in person but your here in spirit. And you turn 41 years old. You were young and always played loud music. And know I'm going to play the loud music for you. And today is Christian birthday too. And I'm going to celebrate his birthday and yours in my heart. God is going to bless you and your with him. Your in a beautiful place with tata and grandma. They are going to celebrate for you. I love you sooo much. I miss you daddy. To me you still here. And tanking you for showing up for my graduation. I felt you touching my arm. And then I felt air in my face. Your spirit is always going to be with me. And your my big guardian angel. Always going to protect me, Chris, and Sol, and baby Cruz. Dear Daddy,
I miss you so much I was just their for 4 days and I had fun. When you, chris, and me where going to pick up sol you got off the truck and started dancing a song. I was laughing. And chris was asking me "was daddy doing". We miss you a lot. But that day that you came out of work because you weren't feeling good. You called tio to pick you up. And when you got home I heard you talking to someone and it was my Tia Chita. You told her to take good care of us. You went to the room and you kissed me and chris in our forehead and you told us bye. And when I woke up I seen tia chita in the living room and you where in the restroom.  And chris woke up and he was just sitting in the couch. But when you breathing heavily I asked you if you were okay. But you weren't responding to me. And like 3-4 minutes Tia Chita , and me heard a big bang. I told chris to grab a key and I open the restroom door. And my heart stopped and I seen you in the floor laying down in the floor. I started to cry a lot. I tried to pick you up but I could not you were to heavy. And i started to go insane. I bang the sink. I touched you and you were very cold. I hugged you and told you to take me with you. And I'm trying to forget what happened but i can't because every time i close my eyes I only see you and that what happened. Chris and me miss you. And I know you're in a better place with tata and welita. They might be surprise to see you because you were so young to pass away. But jesus needed you and for you to helm him. And I will always remember this and I will remember that Chris and me have a big angel watching over us. We love you Daddy. You are in a better place now may you rest in peace.

These past few weeks have been hard for all the family. I would like to thank all the family and friends for all your  support. We all have our own personal and special moments that Edgar left in our hearts and in our lives, he was always like a brother to me personally. I try to focus on the happiest times Edgar brought us, rather than the fact that he is no longer here. I am sure that Edgar would have wanted us all to remember the happy times we all spent with him and that he is still here with us, very strongly in spirit. We were very lucky to have had him in our lives and as much as he will be missed  by all of us he will remain with us all forever. 

My deepest condolences to  the family, Edgar was a great friend, family person and will always be remembered by our family. May God blessed him and may he rest in peace.

I want to thank everyone in our large, loving community who have helped our family in so many ways over the past four days. Your help, your conversation, your laughs, and your hugs have kept our family strong during this time of grief.

Edgar Palos. What did you call him? Dad? Brother?Grandpa? Uncle? Cousin? Friend? Edgar meant so much to so many people. I was lucky enough to be his niece and he was “Tio Edgar” to me. 

The void created by the sudden death of someone as beloved as Tio Edgar is still hard to grasp. He was someone we took for granted. His kind heart, his humbleness, and his willingness to always help others. His loyalty is what I loved the most about him. He protected his friends and family from anyone who would harm them. He worked hard everyday to make sure his daughters had everything. 

He also had many passions. He loved to hunt and fish. He loved animals, and dreamed of having a ranch filled with goats, cows, chickens and pigs. He also had a passion for business. Tio had thousands of ideas and always talked about a new business endeavor. My Tio Edgar was driven, passionate, and inspiring. He made me feel like anything was possible. 

He was down to earth and always ready to take on an adventure. Ready to hit the beach one day and San Marcos the next. I remember that Black Friday Tio pulled an all nighter just so he could take my sister some food while she worked in retail. That night he drove Marisol, Haylee and I all over San Marcos, hitting up random stores just so we could have the Black Friday experience we never had.

I can still hear his music on blast and taste his spicy but delicious menudo. I can still hear his goofy laugh, his jokes and the thousands of smart comments he had. 

My uncle Edgar was a strong man. He could light up a room with laughter even if he felt sad inside. He had a beautiful spirit and although he is not here physically anymore— his presence will forever live in our hearts.

Edgar or chengarito como algunos te deciamos hermanito te extrañare mucho. Sabes solo te nos adelantaste pronto nos veremos no te digo adios sino hasta pronto. Recuerdo de alguien que te decía que pio.  Pero tu siempre fuiste nuestro  hermanito y lo seguiras siendo por el resto de nuestras vidas.

Edgar was my uncle, but I considered him more like an older brother. Maybe that’s why I never got used to calling him uncle or tio Edgar. And NO not out of respect, but maybe because I grew up with him. I remember being at my grandma’s house while she would be taking care of us. And my grandparents would get a call from his school that his son was in the office. So there we go with my grandparents to his school, and I remember seeing Edgar sitting on a stool.       
Yup, he had gotten in another fight! lol
I remember his stories about every scar he had on his knuckles or on his face. 
Then I started school, and remember him helping me with my homework and projects. I will come from school, and remember seeing him watching cartoons in grandma’s living room sitting with a chair in front of him eating. 
I also clearly remember one day when he accidentally spilled his maruchan on my math homework! lol 
When I will find myself in a bubble, he was the first one I will think of calling or telling. 
He showed me how to move my feet when I was learning to dance cumbias. 
From taking or picking my sister and I from school jamming to “SPM” to taking us to Six Flags Astroworld for the very first time, the memories are endless...

Edgar was a great DAD, uncle, friend, and person. 
He was always there for you no matter what. Even if it was his last bread, he would give it to you. 
He cared and loved his girls a lot, and was so happy with his grandchild. They were his number one priority!
 
I’ve learned that throughout time we tend to get busy with our everyday life that we sometimes become distant and tend to grow apart. But that’s how life works! 

Clarissa, Sol and Christian know that I’m always going to be here for you guys. My family and I are going to help, and be there for y’all just like your dad was with us! 

Oh and one last thing I’m going to miss your “WHAT’S UP FOOL?!” 💔😭 

I love you and will always remember you deeply.
