Edith Carson

Edith Carson, age 88 passed away on Thursday, January 4th, surrounded and cared for by family on hospice at the home of her daughter. Edith is preceded in death by her husband, Otis B. Carson; parents Edward and Louise Marek and 3 brothers of Pleasanton, TX.

She was born in Loire, Texas, grew up in Pleasanton, married and moved to Houston, where she spent the remainder of her life. She is survived by four sisters, and five children; Larry Carson and wife Trudy of Austin; Linda Schuetze, Janet Fite Long and husband John, Carol Higginbotham and husband Dave, and Mark Carson, all of Houston. She has 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Family visitation will be at 6pm Sunday with Rosary following at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home on 34th St., Houston, lead by Dcn. Larry Vaclavik. Funeral Mass will be 10am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church presided by Rev. Ryszard Kulma and Rev. Dominic Pistone. Funeral procession will arrive in Pleasanton, TX at St. Andrews Cemetery #2 at 4:15pm, for a graveside service by Dcn.Bennie Garcia. A reception will follow at St. Andrews Parish Hall at 5pm. In lieu of flowers, please give to your favorite charity in Edith's name. She will be greatly missed.
