Edna Elaine Nolan, 85, of New Caney, Texas, passed away on October 20, 2025. She was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico on July 30, 1940, to parents Claude Williams and Eathel Williams. Elaine graduated from New Caney and received a GED. She met Jimmie Nolan in Farmersville, Louisiana, and they later married. Elaine worked as a cashier at One The Go Foods for 16 years. She was a member of the East Montgomery County Senior Friendship Center and had a passion for family, friends, and fishing.
Elaine was a very caring and compassionate person who gave of herself. When she loved someone, she loved unconditionally. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, whom they all referred to as “Gigi.” She was a great friend to many and an adopted mother and grandmother to many others. In her early years, she worked as a server, bartender, and waitress. Later, she worked as a cashier for her neighborhood store, where she made many friends and met new families. Elaine Nolan will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother Eathel Bartlett, father Claude Williams, brother Donnie Williams, aunts Aileen Hall, Bernice Coker, and Nora Schoolcraft, and uncle George Thomas.
She is survived by her sons Vincent E. Rea and wife Donna Rea, Valiant L. Rea and wife Mary Rea, and Jimmy D. Nolan and wife Amanda Nolan; brother Doyle Williams and wife Debbie Williams; two nieces; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
