Edward T. McCormick

He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Helen McCormick. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Richardson of Houston, Texas; his nieces Becky Petrowski and her husband Paul of Lebanon, Connecticut and Sheila Richardson of Aurora, Colorado; and his nephew Michael Richardson of Lebanon, Connecticut. Loving cousins and friends also survive.

He graduated from St. Thomas High School and attended two years at St. Mary’s Seminary in Houston, Texas.

He was a long time member of Sacred Heart Co-Cathedral and St. Ambrose Catholic Church where he was currently serving as a regular money counter.

He was employed at Western Union for over 30 years.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. A celebration of his life during a Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, August 31, 2012 at 10:30 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 4213 Mangum Road, Houston, Texas 77092. Visitation will precede Mass from 9:00 am until 10:00 am. Interment will follow in the Garden of Gethsemani at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas 77023.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ambrose Conference of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Ambrose Church, 4213 Mangum Road, Houston, Texas 77092.
